Dr. Christyn Mai

Providing the highest level of service and care to patients is both a passion and priority for Dr. Christyn Mai. In practice for 10 years, Dr. Mai strives for a personalized experience with each patient and feels that it is a privilege to have her patient's trust. She loves her work as an optometrist and appreciates the long term relationship with her patients. She understands the importance of vision and commits to the care of her patients eyes, as well as delivering the clearest most comfortable vision.
Dr. Mai graduated Cum Laude from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, with an emphasis on comprehensive therapeutic eye care. She is board certified and licensed for the treatment and management of Glaucoma and all therapeutics. |
During her rotation, she specialized in low vision care, performing her work at the Center of the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica and the VA Hospital in Los Angeles. She was a clinician at Optometric Center of Los Angeles, with emphasis on Contact Lens, Vision Therapy and treating ocular diseases. Dr. Mai has worked at a private optometric practice in Westminster for several years, prior to starting her current practice. Committed to reaching out to the community, Dr. Mai has previously served as a visiting physician at Nhan Hoa Comprehensive Health Clinic & Garden Park Assisted Living Facility in Garden Grove.
Before her medical training, Dr. Mai had a successful career with McDonnell Douglas as a Team Leader in Supplier Management and as a Manufacturing Engineer for the Commercial Aircraft division. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University.
Born in Vietnam and raised in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Mai is also fluent in Vietnamese.
In her free time, she likes playing tennis, doing yoga, and traveling. Her most favorite activity is spending time with her son and their dog Juju.
